Ojizosama Statue with Kintsugi Heart
Throughout Japan, Ojizosama statues stand as guardians of the vulnerable—especially children and travelers. Each statue is locally sourced from House of Ivy and holds a hand-crafted Kintsugi metal heart created by Nancy and Henry.
Kintsugi—"Golden Joinery"—transforms brokenness into strength and beauty. This philosophy reminds us that our scars are proof we've overcome difficulties. Our Ojizosama statues represent protection and transformation, reminding us to turn life's unexpected bursts into bursts of hope.
Materials: Concrete and Metal
Dimensions: 3.5"L × 3.5"W × 8.5"H
About Hearts Studio
Hearts Studio is a nonprofit art and event space supporting the epilepsy community. Every purchase directly funds epilepsy research and is tax-deductible. Founded by artist Nancy Iida and inspired by her son Henry's epilepsy journey, Heart Studios transforms creative passion into community action. When you choose our art, you're funding real change for the 1 in 26 people affected by epilepsy. We wish to welcome to a place where every purchase creates positive change far beyond our studio walls.
